Our
church is a liberal spiritual community that celebrates and nurtures the
search for meaning, connection, and acceptance.
The Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware formed in 1997 to
provide a church that is diverse in theology, spirituality, philosophy
and culture. We strive to create a spiritual home for people of
free faith. We welcome everyone, regardless of race, physical
ability, or sexual orientation. Our community is enriched by
diversity of belief and practice.
The Unitarian Universalist tradition encourages participants to seek
religious truths by actively reading, talking, searching, developing,
questioning and building a meaningful theology. It is based on the
recognition that people have the freedom to discover for themselves what
they believe about creation, death, God, and natural phenomenon, and
that there are many paths towards spiritual and ethical growth. We
invite participants to explore their beliefs in a supportive community
of justice, equity and compassion.
